It all started with a bearded man.

Three or four Christmases ago, I bought tote bags from Ella Masters' store for two of my friends and received a free bearded man print. I framed it and it's followed me to the six different houses I've lived in since then. It was always one of the first things I unpacked and it would immediately make me feel at home.

When I moved to London, I met Ella a few times at The Fox Problem and we'd drink free rum and have a blether. When I saw she was shutting up shop for a while, I rushed to get one of her custom portraits for Mike and I, saps that we are. We're in love with it.

My bearded man is still the centerpiece next to my bed, making me feel at home.
