In my younger years, I was known as "Little Miss Fickle" and not much has changed. There are so many amazing blogs out there that I like to try as many as possible on for size and some don't fit. It's like I'm dating them. It's nothing personal; I just don't have time for blogs I'm not 100% in love with. It's not you, it's me.
Some blogs, however, I've been in long term relationships with for, ooh, years. I've seen the owners of these blogs move house, overcome huge personal losses and achieve career goals that were a distant dream not so long ago. I care about what happens to them. New bloggers spring up left and right but but these women will never leave my feed. So for that reason, I hope they don't mind me nicking their photos so I can rave about them! All their links are below - go and fall in love with them like I have.
When I moved to London and didn't know a soul, Ella was one of the bloggers who took me under her wing after I nervously approached her at an event in Shoreditch. I've lived in six different houses since acquiring one of her famous 'bearded men' prints and it's always the first thing I unpack, as it immediately makes me feel at home. I added to my collection this year with a portrait of Mike and I. The last year has been completely bollocks for her and she's come back fighting like a total hero.
Pages by Megan
I met Megan at LFW four years ago and had a full on fangirl moment even then. In the olden days, the blog was called "What's new, pussycatt?" and then as she became a full on superstar right before our eyes, she totally rebranded as Pages by Megan. When I was younger, I was really insecure about the fact I wasn't a "girly girl" and Megan has been a huge part of me getting the fuck over it. I truly think she's the most talented fashion blogger there is. It can't be easy feeling like you're doing your own thing but that's what happens when you're one of a kind.
Every time I see Lyzi, I'm more desperate to get my legs tattooed. Anyway, I digress.
If there's one quality I love in a blogger, it's honesty and Lyzi has it by the bucketload. She's struggled with anxiety for a long time and has never been afraid to let us know when there's been a bad patch. On top of that, her blog is a slice of magic. She has a creative twist for the simplest blog posts and her photography is amazing (especially from her recent trip to Canada!). She loves her town of Bristol and raves about it so much that it's definitely on my list of places to visit next time I'm down south.
Michelle might be my blogging opposite, my anti-matter. Where I am scatterbrained and sweary, she is organised with perfect copy every. bloody. time.
There's just something so very 'together' about Michelle that I can't help but love her. She throws herself into her hobbies too. Whether it's Pokemon Go or watching a new anime show, she doesn't love things by halves. I look forward to her 'Sundaze' post every weekend and am even more keen to visit Hong Kong after she lived there for a year. She also put up with me drunkenly blethering to her at a mutual friend's 30th birthday party this summer so she basically knows all my secrets. Which makes us friends now. Sorry, Michelle!
